Tandala Tented Camp and Safaris is named after the majestic antelope, the Kudu, who frequents the surrounding area. (Tandala is Kiswahili for Greater and Lesser Kudu).

Tandala Tented Camp and Safaris is more than merely a lodge, it's your home away from home. With our simple comforts, intimate atmosphere and friendly staff to make you feel welcome and relaxed, you will be as part of our family.

Under the management of a French couple who are experienced in the hotel industry and French cuisine, we, at the Tandala Tented Camp and Safaris, offer luxurious tented accommodation, fine cuisine and a great safari experience. Our trained game scouts and trackers are here to share their knowledge and experience of the bush with you.

Tandala also supports the Mbomipa Village Project helping towards the awareness and conservation of wildlife by the surrounding villages, whereby, they benefit by being able to become more self sufficient and able to build schools and dispensaries.

Getting Here

From Iringa to the camp:

Up to a 2 hour drive with good off road vehicles.
We can organize transfers from Iringa down to Tandala where required
